The design of the C1 Wedge Connection™ is typically governed by the overturning moment that the connection sees and the diameter of the connection. If pile driving is needed, in the case of a monopile interface, this needs to be taken into account. With the input on the load level, the required dimensions and material grade can be determined for the connection.

Due to the symmetric layout, the effect of wall-thickness changes that are typically seen between the monopile and tower interface have no significant effect on the connection.
