C1 Connections celebrates two years of successful operation in a 14MW WTG
The development of the C1 Wedge Connection™ started early 2017. In 2021 the technology was introduced in the first 14 MW wind turbine, at that time the largest wind turbine in the world. The wind turbine was installed in the North of Denmark and has been operational for more than two years.
After the fast and successful installation, the C1 Wedge Connection was monitored for the period of two years. The results show very stable performance without any preload losses.
With testing near completion, the 14MW wind turbine will soon be dismantled to make place for the erection of a new next generation wind turbine.
